A short drive from our workshop, this property at Tardebigge needed an entrance that matched its character: warm red brick, timber cladding and a rural setting. We designed, built and automated the driveway and pedestrian gates.

The brief
The gates had to look traditional and welcoming, keep the drive private and secure, and be easy to use every day, with no getting out of the car to open them.
The design
We drew up pairs of swing gates with a solid, panelled lower half and a gently curved spindle top, finished in a soft cream that sits well against the brick. The driveway has a matching pedestrian gate in the same style, so the whole frontage reads as one piece.

The automation
The gates are automated with Beninca motors, mounted neatly on the inside of the gates and run from a weatherproof Beninca control box with its own isolator switch. Residents come and go with a keypad on the pier, and safety photocells stop the gates if anything is in the way.

The result
Gates that look as if they were always part of the property, open at the press of a button, and are safe around families and cars.
