At the end of a long drive in Blackwell, this property wanted gates with presence: classic in shape, bold in colour, and in keeping with the open countryside around it.

The brief

A traditional entrance that would stand out against the greenery, give privacy at car height, and still let the view through above.

The design

We designed a pair of swing gates with a solid, panelled lower half and an arched spindle top, finished in black. The arch rises to the centre, giving the gates a classic, symmetrical shape, and the spindles keep the top half light and open.

The install

Made in our own workshop and fitted by the same team, the gates hang between their posts at the head of the drive, with a keypad on the post for easy entry.

The result

A smart, traditional entrance that frames the drive and makes the most of the setting.
