This wide driveway in Little Aston called for a statement entrance: contemporary, private, and finished in a colour that sits naturally against the hedges and planting around it.

The brief
A contemporary home deserved a contemporary entrance, with plenty of privacy, a finish that feels warm rather than stark, and easy everyday access on foot as well as by car.
The design
We designed a pair of swing gates with horizontal slats in an olive green powder coat. Where the two leaves meet, each carries a tall stone-effect panel, so the panels sit side by side in the middle of the entrance and echo the white piers. A matching side gate and a pedestrian gate continue the same design along the boundary.

The build and install
Everything was made in our own workshop and fitted by the same team. The gates are automated, with Beninca safety photocells on the piers to stop them if anything is in the way, and a keypad on the pier beside the pedestrian gate.

The result
A bold, private entrance in a colour chosen to suit its setting, with every gate on the boundary designed as one.
