For this home in Sutton Coldfield, the job was bigger than a gate: the owners wanted the whole front boundary to look new and consistent, from the driveway to the garden wall.

The brief

A modern look to suit the refreshed frontage, privacy for the drive, and a boundary that feels finished all the way along rather than a gate on its own.

The design

We designed a sliding gate with crisp horizontal slats in black, and made matching railing panels to sit between the brick piers along the boundary wall. The same slat spacing runs through the gate and the railings, so everything lines up.

The build and install

Everything was made in our workshop and fitted by our own team. The sliding gate runs along the boundary, keeping the drive clear, and safety photocells on the piers stop it if anything is in the way.

The result

A front boundary that looks designed as a whole: modern, private, and easy to live with.
